BAE Systems in Endicott, NY is looking for a highly motivated individual to preform a variety of taskin controlling and monitoring of chemicals and/or hazardous waste within the company facilityor manufacturing production organization in accordance with federal, state and local regulations such as EPA Clean Waater Act and DOT Toxic Substances Control Act.

Responsiblities include, but are not limited to:
Monitors chemicals, related equipment, and waste systems indicators.
Makes chemical and equipment adjustments to ensure proper system functioning and chemical solution balance.
Removes and disposes of waste chemical, solvents and acids.
Inspect hazardous waste production and storage units.
Maintains operational logs.
Cleans up chemical spills.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Work is preformed in occasional hazardous working conditions and requires the use of specialized saftey equipment and apparatuses.

Role is Full Onsite

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School Diploma/GED and 2 years work experience
Must have a good understanding of chemical (acids, bases, oxidizers, flammables, reducers, water-reactive) and related incompatibilities to prevent undersirable chemical reactions.
Hazardous watse collection and management.
Chemical breakdown and distribution.
DI Water management.
Excellent organization and time management skills.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $43285 - $69256

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
