As an Electrical Engineer – FSO Communications Systems, you will support the development, integration, and testing of free-space optical (FSO) communication systems. You will work within a cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-reliability solutions for mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development, integration, and testing of FSO communication systems
- Perform hardware integration and system-level validation in lab environments
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures to verify system performance
- Utilize electrical lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) for debugging and validation
- Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance evaluation of electrical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and mission readiness
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ months of experience
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, concepts, and applied practices
- Experience with electrical CAD tools and circuit design/analysis (analog and mixed-signal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies)
- Experience with hardware integration and system-level testing
- Experience developing test plans, procedures, and verification methods
