The Avionics Technician is responsible for modifications on Dash-8 aircraft, ensuring the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic systems are conducted efficiently and effectively.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft in a high-quality manner.
• Install, troubleshoot, test, and repair instruments, components, and assemblies using various tools such as circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters.
• Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systems.
• Perform operational and functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
• Install, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnesses.
• Install avionics equipment per engineering drawings while adhering to wiring standards.

• Minimum of 4 years of avionics experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in wire harness fabrication and installation.
• Eligibility for Secret clearance.
• Must have own tools.

• A&P license preferred; A license minimum required.
• Experience with B737 aircraft.
• Avionics systems knowledge.

The role is based in a hangar and MRO environment with heavy maintenance and modifications. Employees work off a production schedule with specified timeframes for completing tasks. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgewater, VA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
